View of the Campanario (wall with openings for bells) in a courtyard of the San Juan Capistrano Mission church, through the archways. Two white doves have lighted on the fountain. This lovely California landscape was painted by my father, Walter Sears Milnor (1936 - 2001). My father loved the Spanish architecture of the missions. Around 1972, we went on a trip to visit the California Missions, where my dad could take reference photos first hand. We got to 20 of the 21. He was able to complete quite a few large canvases of various missions. This one is in a style he developed using lots of texture and thick paint. I am pleased to be able to offer this extraordinary piece as a print. The copyright watermarks on the image do not appear on the actual painting.
