Ominous Bird in Somber Tones

Laura Milnor Iverson

Tree branches in silhouette frame a luminous full moon, a lone raven perched on a branch. In tones of somber green, purple and black, this gothic landscape was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's haunting poem, "Nevermore". This visionary landscape is part of the Dreamscapes series, which combines my original paintings with digital enhancements. The grunge scratches and imperfections give the piece a weathered, Victorian Gothic feel. The copyright watermarks on the image do not appear on the actual print.
