Beneath a sunset in shades of yellow, orange and red, the mists are rising in the distant hills. A Buddhist temple stands serenely in the mist, framed by pine trees. This zen Asian landscape, inspired from a view of Maryknoll Seminary along a trail in Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve (Mountain View, California), is an original oil painting on a gallery-wrapped stretched canvas (the 3/4" staple-free sides are finished off in purple acrylic) and can be hung with just a nail—no need to frame (see the Ordering Page for more technical information). |
