The Haunted Parlor

In a white empire gown, the ghost of Lenore communes with a raven. Her necklace has a key dangling from a chain with glass beads. The full moon outside the open window illuminates the ghostly landscape of distant cypress trees and drifting clouds, the night sky dotted with stars. The mauve drapes move slightly from a nighttime breeze. In this haunted Victorian parlor, calla lilies climb the striped wallpaper. Inspired by the "The Raven" poem by Edgar Allan Poe. This Gothic fantasy landscape is part of the Dreamscapes series, which combines my original paintings with digital enhancements. The grunge scratches and imperfections give the piece a weathered, Victorian Gothic feel. The copyright watermarks on the image do not appear on the actual print.
