Two lady hedgehogs, Sterling (an Algerian Cinnacot) and Twyn (an Algerian Dark Cinnacot), make their home in an ancient, mossy oak. The oak is on the Villa Montalvo grounds in Saratoga, California. The inspiration for this piece comes from Hedgehog Valley photos by Antigone Means-Burleson on http://hedgehogvalley.com/ (used with permission). This piece is on a gallery-wrapped canvas (the sides are finished off in dark green acrylic) and has a hanger on the backno need to frame (see the Ordering Page for more technical information).
As a totem, Hedgehog's wisdom includes enjoyment of life, defense against negativity and understanding weather patterns (from Shamanism: Working with Animal Spirits).
