As the full moon rises over a Japanese garden, a gate opens to another world. Snow falls on the outward scene but, inside the gate, the snow gives way to cherry blossom petals on the path. Snow has not quite yet hidden the footprints on the stones from some traveler crossing between worlds. The winter world is in shades of blue, turquoise and indigo. This visionary piece, part of the Shaman's Gate series (mystical landscapes of alternate realities), is an original acrylic painting on a gallery-wrapped stretched canvas (the 3/4" staple-free sides are finished off in indigo acrylic) and can be hung with just a nail. It has been lightly varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors. The copyright watermark does not appear on the actual painting. | ||||||||||||
