A butterfly flits past a luminous full moon while a Zen Buddhist monk meditates on the Dream of Chuang Tzu, an ancient Taoist philosopher:
| Once I, Chuang Tzu, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of following my fancies as a butterfly, and was unconscious of my individuality as a man. Suddenly I awaked, and there I lay, myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |
This feng shui landscape, part of the Zen Mandala modern art series, is an original acrylic painting on fine art paper. It has been lightly varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors. The copyright watermark does not appear on the actual painting.
This piece is a standard size for an off-the-rack photo frame, or will fit nicely in a larger card for a special gift.
